Damn, I’m having a hard time NOT posting stuff this weekend… for some reason I’ve been coming across some awesome content such as this short film called SPIN.
The original description of this mini-film is as follows:
A mysterious DJ is sent to a busy city block to mend a series of tragic events that occur in our everyday lives. Winner of 35 film festival awards worldwide.
The flick is pretty cool, has a nice beat throughout and IMO is almost like the dj or possibly ‘God’ is remixing life on 1200s (NOT VESTAX)
.
Yeah no joke, this poor Indonesian guy. He got a cut as a kid… then apparently a wart formed on his foot… he neglected it, then Bam started turning into a beast that looks a lot like The Thing crossed with a tree.
This vid has some serious shock factor to it.
This is no BS… this guy is in the Guinness Book of World Records for fastest clapper. In this flick he does a warm up and then a true demonstration of his claptastic abilities. Lets just say that his warm up is insane enough that i thought it was the demo…. until he kicked it up a notch and practically lifts off the ground with his clapfest. We are talking 14 claps a second.
Reminds me of when i used to put baseball cards in my bike’s spokes.
Unfortunately there is no sound with this clip, but it is about 1 minute of a guy butchering a blue agave plant with first a machete and then with a shovel.
What is Blue Agave? Blue Agave is a succulent plant that grows primarily in mexico and according to wikipedia it likes “high altitudes of more than 1,500 m and sandy soil”. Blue agave also happens to be the Agave used for making tequilla… while tequilla tastes like crap and generally makes me a mean person, Read more…
Perfect representation of your everyday average meat head chump.
A nice little clip from a kid’s show with a rappish/hip hop beat and a monster who’s having a party in his Tummy… Everyone is invited… well almost everyone haha.
The finest rendition of “Big Girls Don’t Cry” probably ever made. This is thanks to Lisa and it was titled something along the lines of: Big Girls Don’t Cry – Frankie Valli & Four Seasons Cover
Hit play or to watch a guy distilling the tar contained in two boxes of cigarettes. Now, don’t smoke!
What do you get if you cross the Ghostbuster’s theme song with DMX? The Miles Remix.
If you like Guitar Hero, you’ll LOVE Cowbell Hero. (lol)
College Humor did a fantastic job with this sketch. The premise is the show 24 set in 1994. Awesome.
Think your job sucks? This picture is titled “Blackout” and i found it on spiegel.de. Here is the blurb that goes with the photo:
A coal miner takes a bath after finishing his shift at a mine in the north China province of Shanxi. China’s coal industry is the world’s most dangerous, as measured by the number of miners who are killed per year. In the first 10 months of 2007, there have been 3,069 deaths and on average since 2000, 6,000 miners have died in China every year.
Awesome Indian dancing song… these guys bust some serious moves… breaking like it’s their job.
Speaking of breaks, this song actually has a pretty break aroud the 2:00 mark.
Another musical one for ya. This time it’s the infamous theme song from Super Mario Brothers played by TWO Tesla Coils. Here is an additional blurb of info regarding this clip:
Twin Solid State Musical Tesla coils playing Mario Bros theme song at the 2007 Lightning on the Lawn Teslathon sponsored by DC Cox (Resonance Research Corp) in Baraboo WI.
The music that you hear is coming from the sparks that these two identical high power solid state Tesla coils are generating. There are no speakers involved. The Tesla coils stand 7 feet tall and are each capable of putting out over 12 foot of spark. They are spaced about 18 feet apart. The coils are controlled over a fiber optic link by a single laptop computer. Each coil is assigned to a midi channel which it responds to by playing notes that are programed into the computer software. These coils were constructed by Steve Ward and Jeff Larson. Video was captured by Terry Blake. What is not obvious is how loud the coils are. They are well over 110dB.
And now the vid…
Balancing Point is a short video created by Danny Brown.
The clip shows some footage that was choreographed in a way that when reversed Danny Brown appears to be rebuilding different balancing structures… all set to a sweet background track.
It’s really cool; he did a great job with this.
I will be 100% honest. I did not watch this video prior to posting… ALL i needed to see was “Talking Cats” and I knew it would be a hit… with petra <3.
Look, if you are gonna go off roading at high speeds… DON’T stand up in the bed of a truck. You WILL go flying, and you WILL look like a jack ass.
