Damn, I’m having a hard time NOT posting stuff this weekend… for some reason I’ve been coming across some awesome content such as this short film called SPIN.
The original description of this mini-film is as follows:
A mysterious DJ is sent to a busy city block to mend a series of tragic events that occur in our everyday lives. Winner of 35 film festival awards worldwide.
The flick is pretty cool, has a nice beat throughout and IMO is almost like the dj or possibly ‘God’ is remixing life on 1200s (NOT VESTAX) ;).
The finest rendition of “Big Girls Don’t Cry” probably ever made. This is thanks to Lisa and it was titled something along the lines of: Big Girls Don’t Cry – Frankie Valli & Four Seasons Cover
What do you get if you cross the Ghostbuster’s theme song with DMX? The Miles Remix.
Awesome Indian dancing song… these guys bust some serious moves… breaking like it’s their job.
Speaking of breaks, this song actually has a pretty break aroud the 2:00 mark.
Another musical one for ya. This time it’s the infamous theme song from Super Mario Brothers played by TWO Tesla Coils. Here is an additional blurb of info regarding this clip:
Twin Solid State Musical Tesla coils playing Mario Bros theme song at the 2007 Lightning on the Lawn Teslathon sponsored by DC Cox (Resonance Research Corp) in Baraboo WI.
The music that you hear is coming from the sparks that these two identical high power solid state Tesla coils are generating. There are no speakers involved. The Tesla coils stand 7 feet tall and are each capable of putting out over 12 foot of spark. They are spaced about 18 feet apart. The coils are controlled over a fiber optic link by a single laptop computer. Each coil is assigned to a midi channel which it responds to by playing notes that are programed into the computer software. These coils were constructed by Steve Ward and Jeff Larson. Video was captured by Terry Blake. What is not obvious is how loud the coils are. They are well over 110dB.
And now the vid…
Talk about mad breaks… who knew the ultimate B-Boy does his thing with fingers and a thumb? :X
Absolutely insane. You need sound for this one and i highly suggest you watch it all the way through.
This guy has some serious bucket drumming skills. Check him out… he EARNS his donations.
Snowball is a Cockatoo who Loves to dance and shamelessly throws out a leg when necessary. In this flick Snowball is shaking it’s little Cockatoo booty to the Back Street Boys.
Totally awesome and credit goes to Nicole for the tip on this!!
